Ben Wantland - 2003 Cedar Falls Raceway Motorcycle Champion!
The Machine

Here it is - the 1982 Suzuki GS550L that took the winning spot in the Summer Points Series at Cedar Falls Raceway (IHRA) in 2003.
The Dragstrip

The old Suzuki was not a rocket, but it was consistent. The best run on the orange beast was a 14.502 @ 94.67 mph. Not fast, but the bike was consistent, and I cut good lights, which is what it takes to accrue points and win championships.
Speaking of cutting good lights, how is this for a reaction time?

For those who might not get it, a .500 was a perfect reaction time (to the thousandth of a second) on the timing system in use at the time. It means that I left the starting line at the exact moment the light turned green - 0.500 seconds after the first yellow light.
