Here is my next project for your viewing pleasure. It is a 1960-something GMC 1 ton that was used on my grandpa's farm as a cattle truck and retired several years ago. Considering that we are in Iowa, the truck is over 35 years old, and the that it has been sitting in a field for several years, it is in surprisingly good shape. It has a 305 cubic inch V6 engine and an SM-420 four speed manual transmission. I have not yet hauled it home, let alone started work, so there is not much more to say for right now. I will have more pictures someday.
Update: From looking around on the GMC info site listed below, I have surmised that perhaps my truck is not a 1962 as I originally thought.... that's just what my grandpa told me, but I have a feeling he might not be remembering quite right. According to the information on GMC site, this truck is from 65-66. Time to check the numbers, I guess.
