This is my 1982 Suzuki GS 550LZ. It is a beast. I did all of the mods listed below myself with the exception of the recovering of the seat.... Here are some pictures for your perusal. If there is anything you do want to know about my bike or anything else, just email me at ben@wantlandracing.com.
Mods:
Intake - Airbox removed, K&N Clamp-on air filters with built-in velocity stacks, K&N Crankcase breather, Dynojet Stage 3 Jet Kit(I am running DJ 150 main jets, DJ needles, currently on second notch from the top and idle screws are 2.75 turns out)
Exhaust - Mac 4-1 Exhaust System, upgraded with custom-fabbed (by me) 2.5" competition baffle
Tires - Bridgestone Spitfire S11 Sport-Touring tires to replace the very tired original 20 year old Dunlop Qualifiers.... they were worn! Tire size 90/90-19 front, can't remember rear. Rear tire has Dual Tread Compound for my riding pleasure.
Wheels - They're Enkei cast aluminum, how crazy is that? They are the original and also say Suzuki, but when I was pulling them to get the new tires mounted, I noticed that they say "Enkei"
Brakes - Front pads are Premier Kevlar, Rear shoes are from EBC.
Appearance - LP mini clear turnsignals to replace the giant factory ones and their associated extraneous bracketry.... had the seat recovered.... and I repainted it Orange (it's my favorite color) from spray cans in my parents' laundry room. It actually looks really nice, thanks to about 10 light color coats and the same way with the clear coat.
Fork - Leak-Proof Pro Moly seals (that's the brand, I know it sounds generic), with Bel-Ray 15 weight fork oil.
Misc - I run Castrol Act-evo 10W-40 Synthetic Base oil and NGK copper plugs. I have also done all of the fun stuff like adjusting my valves and synchronizing my carbs.
Well, that's all I can think of for now. Here are the pics:
These are all obviously pictures of my bike in basically the whole state..... That burnout at the car wash isn't going so well because despite my best efforts to cover them, quite a bit of water still snuck into my open element air filters. The bike didn't like that so much.....
Here are a couple pictures from the painting process: (note the copious amounts of overspray all over my mom's laundry room. Oops!)

After sitting for a few weeks, the battery was pretty tired, and although it would have been preferable to trickle charge it all day... I wanted to ride!
These are what my tires look like (sorry they are backward):

And here are some miscellaneous shots from tune-up stuff: (carb sync and valve adjustment)

As you can see, this is from when I rebuilt my front fork and cleaned, flushed and bled the entire brake system.
